About Me

My name is Luisa also known as LouLou and my Instagram followers refer to me as @lilchubmonkey. I am a graduate student with a newly passion for anything I can slather on my face, skincare and makeup. Plus, you are never too old to like all kawaii things and so Asian Beauty products satisfies both of those for me. I started this passion that has become an obsession for skincare when I was around ten years old.

I used to watch my sister do her makeup and buy all kinds of products from fancy smelly stores. I wanted to be pretty like her when I grew up. My mom would also scold me about not washing my face and  not using moisturizer because I was going to end up looking like my lovely raisin grandma (that is my dad’s mom). My mom knew my skin was not forgiving, it scarred easily, and i I inherited that from my dad’s side of the family. My background is Mexican and Spanish but I just say Mexican (it’s easier then trying to explain how my mom’s side immigrated, blah blah blah). As my teenage years rolled by I turned into this (below), a careless teen with the occasional pimple, and rebellious with a bad attitude about the world.

I really did not care about my skin until more and more people started to compliment it. I figured I needed to start taking care of it. My skin concerns are rosacea, dryness,  and wrinkle prevention. Last fall I noticed I was starting to get fine lines. I am not as young as I used to be but I knew I needed to find a product and do something about it. During the many times I slack off on school and decide to browse the internet I came across Memebox and let’s just say I was introduced to KBeauty (Korean Beauty). I became hooked on the Asian culture of skincare. I lived in Japan for a while during my military service and visited Korea many times, not once did I pay attention to this skincare culture. I bang my head on my keyboard for it every time I think of it. Soon after my discovery of Memebox I joined the Asian Beauty Community on Instagram and every one I follow and follows me have been a supportive blessing!
