Four Seasons

Thank you for stopping by my blog. I recently had to make a big purchase from Skin18 just to get my hands on these Four Season masks for the amount of essence they pack. Skin18 offered six variety flavors which included: aloe vera, collagen, a multi vitamin citrus mask, snail, syn-ake, and red ginseng.

The Aloe mask was very soothing. I recommend putting it in the fridge for the ride of your life as my Instagram friend @stillhungry02 once said. The mask itself is a soft cotton, it can be stretchy to get a good fit. I did not have any problem and was able to achieve the perfect fit with the slits on the side to help me stretch the mask to avoid any gaps and bubbles.

I am not kidding when I say there is a lot of essence. The picture above shows a table spoon not a tea spoon. I spilled some too, plus what I dripped on the sink from putting the mask on and what is on the mask itself. I laid on my hammock with a glass of lemonade for more than 50 minutes adding a little more essence to my mask overtime.

These masks are very consistent they leave my skin radiant and plump every time. The Collagen mask provided me with a slight tingle and I noticed it had more scent than the aloe but still very non existent. The main purpose of these masks are to nourish, fight wrinkles, and whiten.

Some of the ingredients for example, the Multi Vita’s main ingredients include: Niacinamide that is known to whiten by suppressing melanin, Vitamin B5, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Green Tea Extract and Witch Hazel Extract.

The Snail’s main ingredient’s include: Adenosine for wrinkles, Purslane Extract for pore tightening, Hyaluronic Acid, Green Tea Extract, Witch Hazel to suppress bacteria will in like acne and stuff and Allantoin that can also help with acne as it is an anti-inflammatory.

Syn-ake we all know is a peptide that helps with wrinkles wrinkles wrinkles and we all love it! This mask also includes like the others: Adenosine, Purslane Extract, Hyaluronic Acid, Green Tea Extract, and Witch Hazel.

This mask I reviewed last night for you guys on my Instagram @lilchubmonkey as you all know smelled a little like ginseng aka wet dirt hahahaha. No tingle for this mask just nice and cool but it did take a pimple away so I was blessed with the results. Guys I can go all day talking about these but you will not know until you experience your self and for .95cent a piece you can not say no to all that essence. Link is in the bottom if you’re interested. Browse around. Do some damage. I hope you enjoyed my blog. Namaste everyone ❤

1004 Laboratory: Nave Fondente Marry Me Perfume Therapy Foam Cleanser

Thank you for your support in stopping by to read my blog. I wanted to share this foam cleanser because my first impressions were that it smelled lovely and it did not break out my sensitive skin. This cleanser comes in a 100ml or the equivalent to 3.4oz. It is packaged in an identical blue box. The tube it self is very elegant blue.

The first thing that got my attention was the smell. It contains a base of white cedar, musk and amber. Your nose will also pick up Seville oranges, jasmine tea, freesia, white peach, magnolia, roses and jasmine. Definitely not for a sensitive nose. It is known to pack for it’s perfume quality.

The foam is very thick and creamy with a pearl shimmer. It lathers very nicely. A little bit goes a long way. It removes makeup residue and waste inside the pores without irritating. Manufacturer recommends this product to people with sensitive, dry and rough skin. It was tested to be hypoallergenic in a human application test. Another thing that caught my attention is that it is cruelty free and does not do animal testing.

The ingredients include: Zanthoxylum Piperitum, Usnea Barbata (Lichen) and Pulsatilla Koreana as natural preservatives. The moisturizing ingredients are Avocado oil, Olive oil, Propanediol (Corn) and Betaine (Beets). It’s plant base contains Rosemary, Morus Alba Bark, Sage, Spearmint, Chamomille, Sinica Root, Melissa Officinalis and Monarda Didyma Leaf. Also the inclusion of 5 certified USDA (U.S. Department of Agriculture) Organic plant-based extracts, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root, Rosa Damascena, Rhodiola Rosea root, Taraxum Officinale (Dandelion) and Olea Europaea (Olive) leaf.

This cleanser is also made with carbonated and sparkling water to aid in deep cleansing of the pores by supplying oxygen to the skin and helping control sebum secretion. The sparkling water comes the Cho Jung mineral springs which have a pH of 4.61.

@pamperurselfgreen and @mindyourbeauty ladies in the Instagram AB (Asian Beauty) community did test this product and received higher pH results. Debate came down to the water used to emulsify the foam but the cleanser itself is not low pH. It is only the sparkling water it is made with that has a low pH. Given the results, sensitive skin users were not as favored as manufacturer suggested. In my experience I did not break out but I did notice drying as I continued to use it everyday. I know double mask when I use this cleanser to preserve my skin barrier. If your skin is non sensitive this product is great!

About Me

My name is Luisa also known as LouLou and my Instagram followers refer to me as @lilchubmonkey. I am a graduate student with a newly passion for anything I can slather on my face, skincare and makeup. Plus, you are never too old to like all kawaii things and so Asian Beauty products satisfies both of those for me. I started this passion that has become an obsession for skincare when I was around ten years old.

10yr old

I used to watch my sister do her makeup and buy all kinds of products from fancy smelly stores. I wanted to be pretty like her when I grew up. My mom would also scold me about not washing my face and  not using moisturizer because I was going to end up looking like my lovely raisin grandma (that is my dad’s mom). My mom knew my skin was not forgiving, it scarred easily, and i I inherited that from my dad’s side of the family. My background is Mexican and Spanish but I just say Mexican (it’s easier then trying to explain how my mom’s side immigrated, blah blah blah). As my teenage years rolled by I turned into this (below), a careless teen with the occasional pimple, and rebellious with a bad attitude about the world.

I really did not care about my skin until more and more people started to compliment it. I figured I needed to start taking care of it. My skin concerns are rosacea, dryness,  and wrinkle prevention. Last fall I noticed I was starting to get fine lines. I am not as young as I used to be but I knew I needed to find a product and do something about it. During the many times I slack off on school and decide to browse the internet I came across Memebox and let’s just say I was introduced to KBeauty (Korean Beauty). I became hooked on the Asian culture of skincare. I lived in Japan for a while during my military service and visited Korea many times, not once did I pay attention to this skincare culture. I bang my head on my keyboard for it every time I think of it. Soon after my discovery of Memebox I joined the Asian Beauty Community on Instagram and every one I follow and follows me have been a supportive blessing!

I really hope you stick around and follow my blog. I would like to blog about all my adventures called life, do product reviews, share tips & tricks, but most of all spread some love! Thank you for reading and following me 🙂
