Lomi Lomi 7 Skin Scheduler Monday Aloe Juicy Mask

blog 4

The Lomi Lomi mask is a aid with hydrating skin and promotes elasticity. It has about 26ml of high concentration, thicker like gel essence. Enough to rehydrate mask along wear and enough left over for your arms. The mask was properly soaked out of the packet it was made of a thin cotton, non-woven, very soft material and stretchable for fit. The mask fit and adhesion was great, you can barely see it is there, almost like a second set of skin with no gaps. The scent was just like any aloe vera gel, perfumie in a way but with a very soft scent. I did not like the eye flaps, I wish it did not have them. The mask was very rich that it made me break out a pimple right on top of my nose.

Mirium Fresh Fruit Cucumber Real Natural

blog 2

If you are looking for hydration this is a mask to consider. It is made of thin 100%  natural cotton. It was a thin mask, very smooth, soft and had a stretchable fit, great absorption and wet out of the packet. There is 21ml of essence. There was tons of essence enough for my whole chest and arms. The essence was like a transparent gel. When I opened the package I thought I was smelling real fresh cut cucumbers. The fit was also amazing, there were barely any gaps. The mask provided my skin with a lot of moisture and smoothed out the skin. It had a really nice cooling effect that calmed down my redness as well.

Ingredients: Water, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Carbomer, Disodium EDTA, Allantoin, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, PEG 6 Hydronated Castor Oil, Cucumber Extract (1,000ppm), Sodium Hyaluronate, Methylparaben, Ceteth-1-20, Steareth-20, Tocopheryl Acetate, Glyceryl Stearate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Neopentyl Glycol Dicaprate, Cetyl Ethy;hexancate, Phenoxyethanol, Triethanolamine, Fragrance. Sense of Care (SOC) Animal Cutie Whitening Aqua Panda Mask Pack

blog 5

Can you look at the packaging and tell you’re not excited? It’s a freaking Panda! I go ape shit for Pandas. My excitement was not meet with this mask though. The packaging is the best part about this mask. Out of the packet it was soaked in essence and there was about two teaspoons full of essence left that ended up dripping all over my sink. The mask material is about medium thickness and hard thickness around the panda eyes. I did not like having different thicknesses because the essence distribution was different though out the whole mask. The nose and rosy cheeks where the printed panda face is located were a different texture. The eyes are the roughest part and it kept rubbing in on the corner of my eye. Because of the material and thickness of the mask it did not last past the 30 minute mark and began drying up around 20 minutes as well. As far as results it provided some elasticity and some whitening.

Ingredients: Water, Glacier Water, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Niacinamide, Betaine, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Chlorphenesin, Carbomer, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Jannia Rubens Extract, Hyaluronate Acid, Maltooligosyl Glucoside, C12-14, Hydroxyalkyl Maltitol Ether, Polyglutamic Acid, Fucose, Mineral Water, Salvia Hispanica Seed Extract, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Extract, Hydrolyzed Collagen.

Luke Mugwort Nose Strip

blog 6

I don’t have many problems with blackheads and whiteheads on my nose and so I tend not to bother with nose strips. While testing the Luke Mugwort Nose Strip I noticed it is probably the best one I’ve tried so far. I like how the nose strip is like a sticker. I find it easier to wet the strip right when it is still on the plastic film. I then peel it off like  sticker and it’s easier to handle place and mold around the nose. It smells a little bit like wet/herbal dirt. The nose strip is supposed to pull away dirt, sebum, and blackheads. It also contains vitamin E, aloe vera, licorice root for irritation and which hazel to tighten pores. When I pulled the strip away I did not see any of the awesome results others get besides some pore tightening.

Ben & Sera 30 days Anti-Aging Project

blog 7

First, I wanted to fall in love with the packaging. The syringe concept for an “Anti-Aging Project” looked really cool. The serum inside is has a medium thick viscosity. It initially absorbs well and leaves a silky layer on the face. After a few minutes of absorption I was left with a sticky oily residue which I did not enjoy. With the following steps in my skin routine being a cream and during the day my make up this serum did not want to cooperate. It did not sit well and sink causing my cream to crumble up in little plastic like crumbs, as if I was doing a peel. Same thing with my makeup, it would run my foundation like spreading oil on bread when it’s been already buttered. One drop does the job though, I tested it as my final step in my routine without the final cream at night and I did notice some improvement. It helped a lot with skin tightness, it plumped up fine lines and moisturized very well all on its own.

Holika Holika Juicy Mask Sheets

Hi lovelies, thank you for stopping by again! These Holika Holika Juicy Masks I also purchased from Skin18. To get your hands on some click on the link below. They ship to the USA and it’s free shipping after $40 but they have so many sales going on that your cart will be there in no time. The pictures are from my Instagram account @lilchubmonkey come check out all my shenanigans and see what other masks I will be reviewing soon.

Juicy “TOMATO” Firming

This was my very first tomato and my first Holika Holika mask ever. There were lots of firsts that day! I was expecting this mask to match exactly its name and be extra super “Juicy”  but there was barely any essence left over in the packet. The mask itself was soaked but not dripping. The fit was fine but that’s usually because I do not ever have a problem with that. The eyes were a bit slanted but the thin cotton sheet was easily stretchable for fit. I wore this for over 30 minutes. I was asked if this was astringent or if it smelled like the Tonymoly Tomato one – I have not tried the mask yet but this one did not have either one of those two issues even though the ingredients does include alcohol.

Ingredients: Water, Glycerin, Alcohol, Sodium Hyaluronate, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Carbomer, Triethanolamine, Solanum Lycopersicum (Tomato) Fruit Extract, Actinidia Chinensis (Kiwi) Fruit Extract, Citrus Aurantifolia (Lime) Fruit Extract, Fragaria Chiloensis (Strawberry) Fruit Extract, Allantoin, Disodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance

Juicy “Tea Tree” Spot Control

The Tea Tree was another first for me. I forgot to mention that I started to get a small tiny blemish the night after I used the tomato mask but I also introduced a very thick essence to my routine. I wanted to make sure I mentioned that. Tree tree is known to aid with acne so this mask was perfect. I absolutely fell in love with Tea Tree I want everything that has it in it. The mask smelled like fresh cut grass with a hint of lavender. I left this one on for about 25 minutes because the lip was beginning to dry up but I saw how it made the blemish begin to disappear before my eyes!

Ingredients:  Water, Glycerin, Alcohol, Sodium Hyaluronate, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Carbomer, Triethanolamine, Tea Tree Extract, Lavender Extract (I knew it), Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Chamomile Recutita (Matricaria) Flower, Allantoin, Disodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance

Juicy “Mango” Revitalizing

This mask like the other too smelled accordingly. A slight hint on mango to my upper lip as I laid that bad boy down on my face. I had smoked a cigar which is really bad for your skin so I needed to “Revitalize.” Besides the different smells I was not seeing much out of all these so I decided to up the experience on the next mask. This mask left my skin a lot brighter and moisturized.

Ingredients:  Water, Glycerin, Alcohol, Sodium Hyaluronate, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Carbomer, Triethanolamine, Mango Fruit Extract, Apple Fruit Extract, Watermelon Fruit Extract, Peach Fruit Extract, Allantoin, Disodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance

Juicy “Blueberry” Energizing

To up the experience on this mask I woke up early and stuck the mask in the fridge for a few hours. The “experience” was amazing! I had to hold my breath when I put it on, it was so cooling but not totally freezing. I wore it about 40 minutes which is much longer than any of the other. It feels as though cooling the mask in the fridge extended the humidity in the mask and it lasted longer. I would have to try it again with two of the same masks to make it a control experiment. My skin was left much plumper and young looking.

Ingredients:  Water, Glycerin, Alcohol, Sodium Hyaluronate, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Carbomer, Triethanolamine, Blueberry Fruit Extract, Acerola Fruit Extract, Euterpe Oleracea Fruit Extract, Grape Fruit Extract, Allantoin, Disodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance

Juicy “Pomegranate” Elasticity

Ignore my eyes on this picture I was having some allergies but do focus on the “chok chok” this mask left my face looking like. Overall these masks are very very decent and VERY affordable. I love just how they each have a different smell and the packaging is gorgeous. Don’t be afraid to try them out they deliver quite well.

Ingredients:  Water, Glycerin, Alcohol, Sodium Hyaluronate, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Carbomer, Triethanolamine, Grapefruit Fruit Extract, Orange Peel Extract, Apricot Fruit Extract, Allantoin, Disodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance

Four Seasons

Thank you for stopping by my blog. I recently had to make a big purchase from Skin18 just to get my hands on these Four Season masks for the amount of essence they pack. Skin18 offered six variety flavors which included: aloe vera, collagen, a multi vitamin citrus mask, snail, syn-ake, and red ginseng.

The Aloe mask was very soothing. I recommend putting it in the fridge for the ride of your life as my Instagram friend @stillhungry02 once said. The mask itself is a soft cotton, it can be stretchy to get a good fit. I did not have any problem and was able to achieve the perfect fit with the slits on the side to help me stretch the mask to avoid any gaps and bubbles.

I am not kidding when I say there is a lot of essence. The picture above shows a table spoon not a tea spoon. I spilled some too, plus what I dripped on the sink from putting the mask on and what is on the mask itself. I laid on my hammock with a glass of lemonade for more than 50 minutes adding a little more essence to my mask overtime.

These masks are very consistent they leave my skin radiant and plump every time. The Collagen mask provided me with a slight tingle and I noticed it had more scent than the aloe but still very non existent. The main purpose of these masks are to nourish, fight wrinkles, and whiten.

Some of the ingredients for example, the Multi Vita’s main ingredients include: Niacinamide that is known to whiten by suppressing melanin, Vitamin B5, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Green Tea Extract and Witch Hazel Extract.

The Snail’s main ingredient’s include: Adenosine for wrinkles, Purslane Extract for pore tightening, Hyaluronic Acid, Green Tea Extract, Witch Hazel to suppress bacteria will in like acne and stuff and Allantoin that can also help with acne as it is an anti-inflammatory.

Syn-ake we all know is a peptide that helps with wrinkles wrinkles wrinkles and we all love it! This mask also includes like the others: Adenosine, Purslane Extract, Hyaluronic Acid, Green Tea Extract, and Witch Hazel.

This mask I reviewed last night for you guys on my Instagram @lilchubmonkey as you all know smelled a little like ginseng aka wet dirt hahahaha. No tingle for this mask just nice and cool but it did take a pimple away so I was blessed with the results. Guys I can go all day talking about these but you will not know until you experience your self and for .95cent a piece you can not say no to all that essence. Link is in the bottom if you’re interested. Browse around. Do some damage. I hope you enjoyed my blog. Namaste everyone ❤

1004 Laboratory: Nave Fondente Marry Me Perfume Therapy Foam Cleanser

Thank you for your support in stopping by to read my blog. I wanted to share this foam cleanser because my first impressions were that it smelled lovely and it did not break out my sensitive skin. This cleanser comes in a 100ml or the equivalent to 3.4oz. It is packaged in an identical blue box. The tube it self is very elegant blue.

The first thing that got my attention was the smell. It contains a base of white cedar, musk and amber. Your nose will also pick up Seville oranges, jasmine tea, freesia, white peach, magnolia, roses and jasmine. Definitely not for a sensitive nose. It is known to pack for it’s perfume quality.

The foam is very thick and creamy with a pearl shimmer. It lathers very nicely. A little bit goes a long way. It removes makeup residue and waste inside the pores without irritating. Manufacturer recommends this product to people with sensitive, dry and rough skin. It was tested to be hypoallergenic in a human application test. Another thing that caught my attention is that it is cruelty free and does not do animal testing.

The ingredients include: Zanthoxylum Piperitum, Usnea Barbata (Lichen) and Pulsatilla Koreana as natural preservatives. The moisturizing ingredients are Avocado oil, Olive oil, Propanediol (Corn) and Betaine (Beets). It’s plant base contains Rosemary, Morus Alba Bark, Sage, Spearmint, Chamomille, Sinica Root, Melissa Officinalis and Monarda Didyma Leaf. Also the inclusion of 5 certified USDA (U.S. Department of Agriculture) Organic plant-based extracts, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root, Rosa Damascena, Rhodiola Rosea root, Taraxum Officinale (Dandelion) and Olea Europaea (Olive) leaf.

This cleanser is also made with carbonated and sparkling water to aid in deep cleansing of the pores by supplying oxygen to the skin and helping control sebum secretion. The sparkling water comes the Cho Jung mineral springs which have a pH of 4.61.

@pamperurselfgreen and @mindyourbeauty ladies in the Instagram AB (Asian Beauty) community did test this product and received higher pH results. Debate came down to the water used to emulsify the foam but the cleanser itself is not low pH. It is only the sparkling water it is made with that has a low pH. Given the results, sensitive skin users were not as favored as manufacturer suggested. In my experience I did not break out but I did notice drying as I continued to use it everyday. I know double mask when I use this cleanser to preserve my skin barrier. If your skin is non sensitive this product is great!

About Me

My name is Luisa also known as LouLou and my Instagram followers refer to me as @lilchubmonkey. I am a graduate student with a newly passion for anything I can slather on my face, skincare and makeup. Plus, you are never too old to like all kawaii things and so Asian Beauty products satisfies both of those for me. I started this passion that has become an obsession for skincare when I was around ten years old.

10yr old

I used to watch my sister do her makeup and buy all kinds of products from fancy smelly stores. I wanted to be pretty like her when I grew up. My mom would also scold me about not washing my face and  not using moisturizer because I was going to end up looking like my lovely raisin grandma (that is my dad’s mom). My mom knew my skin was not forgiving, it scarred easily, and i I inherited that from my dad’s side of the family. My background is Mexican and Spanish but I just say Mexican (it’s easier then trying to explain how my mom’s side immigrated, blah blah blah). As my teenage years rolled by I turned into this (below), a careless teen with the occasional pimple, and rebellious with a bad attitude about the world.

15yr

I really did not care about my skin until more and more people started to compliment it. I figured I needed to start taking care of it. My skin concerns are rosacea, dryness,  and wrinkle prevention. Last fall I noticed I was starting to get fine lines. I am not as young as I used to be but I knew I needed to find a product and do something about it. During the many times I slack off on school and decide to browse the internet I came across Memebox and let’s just say I was introduced to KBeauty (Korean Beauty). I became hooked on the Asian culture of skincare. I lived in Japan for a while during my military service and visited Korea many times, not once did I pay attention to this skincare culture. I bang my head on my keyboard for it every time I think of it. Soon after my discovery of Memebox I joined the Asian Beauty Community on Instagram and every one I follow and follows me have been a supportive blessing!
